Datacenter Forum Helsinki is an annual event that has been arranged for five years in a row now. The Nordic data center conference series is held yearly in Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen, gathering the Nordic and Baltic industry professionals under the same roof to share knowledge, network and to shape the future direction of the data center sector. Ficolo is participating in the Helsinki event when it is held in Scandic Park Hotel on May 23.

Ficolo CEO Seppo Ihalainen will give a presentation about the development of traditional data centers into modern cloud delivery centers that offer value-adding services on top of the basic data center offering.  Cloud delivery centers fulfill the requirements that are placed on them by modern cloud technology. Cloud delivery center is able deliver any cloud in any ecosystem, fulfills the requirements placed by edge computing, and is built on premium colocation infrastructure with heat reuse, active fire prevention, cell-based scalability & availability.

Seppo will also introduce the new Ficolo Cloud Delivery Center “The Air” and gives a glimpse of how Helsinki evolves into one of Europe’s data capitals.

Other topic of the event are how the new technologies are affecting data centers, electricity network and renewable energy and how global trends change business’s IT strategy.
